Recent research shows that vitamin C had a positive effect on the mood of hospital patients.

According to recent research from the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal, taking 500 mg of vitamin C twice daily for seven to ten days improved the mood of hospital patients by 34 percent. The findings support past research that associated low vitamin C concentrations with emotional problems.
