House Foods, a premium tofu purveyor since 1983, is pleased to introduce House Foods Tofu with DHA Omega-3, the only tofu product that contains 32mg of Omega-3 DHA per serving (85 g). Available this fall, House Foods Tofu with DHA Omega-3 is made with U.S.-grown organic soybeans, is Non-GMO Project verified, Gluten-Free, Vegan and Kosher. This new fortified tofu will come in two varieties, Firm and Extra Firm, providing a good source of protein and calcium, versatile for any meal of the day.

The DHA contained in House Foods Tofu with DHA Omega-3 is sourced from Vegan Algal Oil and adds no significant smell or taste. DHA is a major structural fat found in the brain and retina, also a key component of the heart and cardiovascular system.

“The International Food Information Council’s 2013 and 2014 Food & Health Surveys show that Omega-3 is one of the key nutrients/ingredients, we discovered consumers most readily take or add to their diets,” says Yoko DiFrancia, manager of PR and marketing at House Foods. “Adding it to our products provides our consumers with another healthy tofu option.”

House Foods’ portfolio of products includes: Premium Tofu, Organic Tofu, Bulk Tofu and Tofu Shirataki noodle substitute. Made exclusively with 100% U.S. grown soybeans, all products are Non-GMO Project Verified and gluten-free certified.
