LOUISVILLE, KY – ASM (Alternative Sales Management) has been re-launched by industry veteran Gary Gobeli, reflecting his more than 25 years experience in the naturals industry and hundreds of successful retailer relationships.
Targeted to new manufacturers and those that are comfortably small- to mid-sized, ASM custom tailors comprehensive and cost-effective sales management programs to further generate revenue and allow for more streamlined front office and research and development activities. In addition, ASM offers consulting services to more established companies whose sales may have stagnated, or that need a fresh perspective to move to the next level.
“Year by year, the naturals industry becomes more entrenched in the mainstream,” Gobeli says. “While this is great news for the natural products manufacturers, the accelerated growth and awareness may pose some challenges. I created Alternative Sales Management to help manufacturers and marketers successfully navigate sales channels, to allow them to concentrate on what they do best and achieve a healthy revenue stream.”
ASM offers the following: sales evaluation, marketing plan assistance, budgeting assistance, margin and cost evaluation, national sales management, distributor contacts, broker management, new product development assistance, and trade show support.
Gobeli began his career in the natural products industry in 1985 with Futurebiotics, where he was named Salesman of the Month 12 times, Salesman of the Year for two years, and had set the record for the most new accounts opened in one month.
From there, Gobeli has helped several other businesses achieve further sales successes. These include Palko Distributing, Hsu’s Ginseng Enterprises, Symbiotics and CS Health. While serving as regional sales manager for Mic-Ellen Associates, Gobeli was also instrumental in the hugely successful launch of the Atkins line.
Formerly, ASM was known as Alternative Sales Management, based in Arizona. Now based in Louisville, KY, Gobeli was encouraged by both manufacturer and retailers to once again serve independently. “The industry in two years has become more invigorating, with quite a few companies and products that offer tremendous benefits to consumers and that have outstanding retail support,” he says. “I wanted to once again devote all my energies to ASM.”
