SternLife launches QuadBar protein bar

Private-label manufacturer's QuadBar has a high content of protein and roughage at 34 percent each, while carbohydrate content is low at just 2.5 grams.

Protein bars are a fixture of sports nutrition. In addition to athletes, they also appeal to fitness and nutrition-minded consumers. With its new QuadBar, private-label maker SternLife has developed a new generation of protein bars that feature an optimum combination of nutrients.

The QuadBar has a high content of protein and roughage at 34 percent each, while carbohydrate content is low at just 2.5 grams. “This combination is new in this segment,” said Marc van Essen of SternLife sales. “Another plus point is its very good flavour. In product development we placed a priority on natural ingredients and an unusual flavour experience.”

Nuts, fruit pieces and similar ingredients ensure maximum enjoyment. The bar is not chocolate-coated, underscoring its health and wellness character. Thanks to the low carbohydrate content, sellers can also label it “low sugar” or “no added sugar” for further incentives to buy.

SternLife is bringing the QuadBar to the market in four different flavours: Strawberry Cheesecake with small strawberry and cookie pieces, Vanilla Almond with whole almonds, Brownie Dough and Cookies & Cream. The ingredients and nutrients can be flexibly varied to customer order, as Marc van Essen emphasised.

“We offer customers everything from a single source, from the initial idea to product development to the finished powder or bar. Customers benefit from the networked cooperation with our sister companies in the Stern-Wywiol Gruppe. For example, HERZA Schokolade in nearby Norderstedt produces and packs the bars. For many customers, in-house production here in Germany is very important.

SternLife is presenting the new QuadBar for the first time in early May at the Finished Products Europe fair in Geneva. There, visitors can taste-test the bar at SternLife’s booth B 51 and at the Tasting Bar, which also generated great interest in the company’s products last year.
