Yerba mate energy drinks
The three new Yerba Mate Organic Energy Drinks from Guayaki combine yerba mate and iced tea. The Guayak? drinks are made with organic rainforest-grown yerba mate, 100 per cent organic cane juice, and are free of artificial colours and flavours. Each drink contains caffeine comparable to coffee and more than the leading energy drink (140mg caffeine per bottle), and also has a natural content of theobromine — the euphoriant in chocolate — which is a muscle relaxant, the company says. Yerba mate's natural makeup also includes another stimulant named theophylline, as well as pantothenic acid, which prevents over-stimulation of the nervous system.?Sensitive people that drink yerba mate don't experience the jitters, stomach discomfort and headaches that are common complaints from drinkers of coffee, Guayaki explains.
