Strengthening its Operating Team, Proliant Dairy Hires Gene Enneking

Ankeny, Iowa, March 14, 2008 Proliant Dairy, Inc., Ankeny, Iowa has hired Gene Enneking as Plant Manager for their new dairy plant in Melrose, MN. Proliant is in the process of building a dairy permeate processing facility. Permeate, also know as deproteinized whey or DPW, is a by-product of milk or dairy protein filtration, and consists primarily of dairy lactose and minerals.

Gene earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from South Dakota State University with a major in Dairy Manufacturing. Gene brings +17 years of experience related to dairy industry and plant management. For the past 15 years, Gene has worked for Rochester Cheese in various capacities with his most recent being Director of Operations. Gene had general management responsibilities which included production/operations, purchasing, human resources and sales. “The addition of Gene to the Proliant Dairy leadership group will add valuable dairy operating and industry experience. We are very proud to have him as a key part of our team,” said Mike Matter, Vice President of Operations for Proliant Dairy.

Proliant’s new facility is expected to be operational in September, 2008. Gene will begin overseeing construction activity as of March 17th.
