Don't Let Deca be an Oversight

You try to hard to keep everything in your stores healthy and natural. Now, even persistent monitoring of the source may not even be enough.

The Environmental Working Group has sent a letter to the country's largest supermarkets urging them to stop using plastic pallets that might aid in hydro-cooling (when produce is soaked or sprayed with water). These pallets may contain the flame-retardent chemical, decabromodiphenyl ether, or Deca which can disrupt brain and reproductive system development.

It might be a good idea to take EWG's research to heart, as no matter how healthy and natural you keep your produce, it means diddly if it harms your customers in the long run.
