OCA report: Natural personal care has improved ... mostly

This morning, the Organic Consumers Association (OCA) released a followup report on a study from last year that found 1,4-dioxane in some of our favorite natural and even organic personal care products. The petrochemical is a suspected kidney toxicant, neurotoxicant, carcinogen, and respiratory toxicant. The good news: Thanks to pressure put on the industry last year, 16 natural personal care companies have reformulated 23 products, virtually eliminating 1,4-dioxane. Read more about 1,4-dioxane at the Environmental Working Group's website; and find find out which products tested negative and positive.
