Today is World Water Day 2008!

International Year of SanitationWelcome to the International Year of Sanitation! So has the United Nations dubbed the theme for 2008 World Water Day -- the 15th annual UN-designed celebration to raise awareness of water issues around the world.

"The goal is to raise awareness and to accelerate progress towards the Millennium Development Goal (MDG) target to reduce by half the proportion of the 2,6 billion people without access to basic sanitation by 2015." --UN General Assembly

WaterAid: This awesome website is a resource for information and is working toward providing clean water to people in need. Nature's Gate recently announced that it would partner with WaterAid in an effort to support rainwater harvesting.
