At the bare minimum, natural brands use their Twitter and Facebook accounts to announce company news and provide customer service. And while those are a few good reasons to get savvy on social media, that approach is both boring and so 2010.

With more natural brands launching online and more consumers than ever buying their healthy and natural products there, too, it makes sense to have a digital presence that is both informative and entertaining. The brands that are strategically winning on social media are those that use multiple platforms to engage fans, flaunt some personality and inspire healthy living through photography, video, purpose-driven campaigns, the power of cult followings, and, of course, hashtags.
