Advantix Systems doubles food processing customers base in one year

Advantix Systems, a manufacturer of energy efficient dehumidification and air conditioning systems, has doubled its food processing customer base has since receiving last year’s the 2012 innovation award at the IFT Food Expo Innovation Award.

Advantix Systems, a leading manufacturer of energy efficient dehumidification and air conditioning systems, announced that their its food processing customer base has doubled since receiving last year’s the 2012 innovation award at the IFT Food Expo Innovation Award.

The company’s salt water-based technology reduces energy consumption, has the ability to simultaneously cool, dry and clean the air, while cutting energy consumption by as much as 30 to 50 percent and improving air quality and operational efficiency for food processors. In the past 12 months, Leading global customers including P&G, Tyson Foods, Mead Johnson Nutrition Company, Miller Coors, and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters have turned to Advantix to help them achieve ’s breakthrough salt water-based liquid desiccant technology because it delivers precise, powerful humidity control without consuming the enormous amounts of energy required by conventional systems.

Conventional air conditioning units must overcool the air to its dew point and then reheat that air to remove humidity, steps that require a great deal of energy. Solid desiccant wheels introduce a lot of heat into the process, thereby requiring pre- and post-cooling steps that require a great deal of energy. Advantix’s breakthrough technology is based on its patented solution, known as liquid desiccant, which amplifies salt’s natural affinity for moisture. The liquid desiccant removes humidity and cools the air, eliminating any additional steps and thereby cutting energy by 30 to 50 percent in its core products and up to 80 percent when integrated with renewable energy.

Advantix’s technology provides additional benefits of acting as a natural disinfectant, scrubbing the air of almost all airborne bacteria and microorganisms in a single pass and creating a clean, condensation-free setting for food products. With an installed base exceeding 1,000 systems worldwide,

Advantix Systems has demonstrated that it is possible for commercial and industrial manufacturers to seamlessly integrate energy efficiency improvements into their operations to directly lower operating expenses and mitigate the risk associated with rising energy costs. “We are very excited about our rapid growth in the food processing sector as well as in other markets,” said Hannah Choi Granade, President of Advantix Systems. “With our food processing customers across the globe, we see how our innovative technology is helping these facilities be more energy efficient and improve their bottom line.”

At this year’s IFT Expo, Advantix, located at booth #4061, will host a “block party” every afternoon, serving a menu of popular products produced by their customers Tyson Foods and Miller Coors. Visitors to the booth will have the opportunity to sample Doritos Loco Tacos and cold beer and beverages. In addition, a live “Extreme Humidity Removal Demo” will demonstrate how these Advantix’s salt water liquid desiccant systems can remove 40 pounds of moisture per hour.
