Fiber protects diabetics

A new study suggests fiber helps protect people with type 2 diabetes from cardiovascular and kidney disease risks.

Diabetes should eat more fiber, and not just when the mood strikes them. They should consume fiber every day, once or twice a day, with the regularity of tooth-brushing (but probably not at the same time). Eating fiber every day decreases the risk factors associated with diabetes according to a new study.

More than 25.8 million Americans of all ages are affected by diabetes, about 8.3 percent of the U.S.
