A new European study suggests polyphenol consumption significantly reduces mortality rates among older people. The study also show promise for the use of nutritional biomarkers in research.

Eat more polyphenols, live longer. A new study associated high polyphenol consumption with a 30 percent reduction in mortality in older adults. It's also the first study to evaluate the intake of these super healthy compounds using a nutritional biomarker and not just a food frequency questionnaire.
