Vitamin D, calcium and a side of hormones

A new analysis suggests that postmenopausal women who take hormones, vitamin D and calcium have stronger bones than those who don't.

During the past year, dueling studies and opinions have touted the pros and cons of vitamin D supplements and calcium for post-menopausal women. It's been enough to cause anyone hot flashes. This week, a new analysis from the Women's Health Initiative Trial (WHI) supports taking the supplements if women are also taking hormones. The study will be published in Menopaus
