WorldFood Moscow 2014 exhibitors up 13 percent from last year

Russia’s 23rd international food and drink exhibition, WorldFood Moscow, took place on 15–18 September 2014 at the Expocentre in Moscow, Russia. The event brought together 30,071 unique visitors from 99 countries – a 13% increase from 2013.

In total, 1,674 food companies from 72 countries exhibited over the four day event to network and conduct business with supermarkets, distributors, wholesalers, restaurateurs, retailers and food production companies from Russia and the CIS region.

International exhibitor presence at this year’s event grew. 70% of WorldFood Moscow 2014 exhibitors represented international brands.

Official delegations from Tunisia, South Africa, Serbia, Argentina, Morocco and other distinguished guests attended the event to seek new business.

Exhibitor, Akif Nadeem, General Manager, Foodex, Pakistan, stated: “We’ve had visitors from Russia, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan visiting our stand.”

Another 2014 exhibitor, Herma Sutjiamidjaja, Marketing Director, P.T. Dharma Samudera Fishing Industries, Indonesia, commented: “If you want to really sell to Russia, this is the show you need to be at.”
