Ingredion Inc., a leading global provider of ingredient solutions to diversified industries, announced the introduction of BIOLIGO™GL 5700 IMF galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS), a new prebiotic ingredient. Galacto-oligosaccharides are some of the most studied oligosaccharides in the world, and provide numerous digestive and immune health benefits. The introduction of BIOLIGO galacto-oligosaccharides provides infant formula, functional food, beverage, and dietary supplement manufacturers with a new safe, high-quality source of prebiotic soluble fiber to enhance the nutritional profile of their products.

BIOLIGO GOS is a part of the company’s portfolio of innovative nutritional solutions that deliver meaningful health benefits to consumers across life stages. BIOLIGO GL 5700 IMF is made from food grade lactose, it is in the form of a syrup and contains a minimum of 57% GOS (dry basis). It is very stable in high temperature processes and low pH applications, making it suitable for a range of formulations from shelf stable beverages and juices, to nutritional bars and supplements.
