Hutchison Whampoa Ltd., one of Hong Kong’s oldest trading companies with 2003 sales of $13.5 billion, is expanding its presence in the market for traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) through joint ventures and by investing in the modernization of Chinese herbal medicine.
