NBJ: How has NNFA’s mission evolved over the past decade?

DS: NNFA’s mission, which is essentially to champion the rights of our members to sell natural products without undue government restriction, has remained the same. What has evolved is how we go about that. For instance, in the past five years we have put a greater emphasis on advocacy activities, particularly with federal policymakers.
