Reseachers Investigate Cardiovascular Benefits of Acupuncture

UC Irvine’s CAM center monitors acupuncture’s effect on blood pressure.

The scientific community is intensifying research into non-surgical, non-pharmacological approaches to cardiovascular conditions. At the University of California, Irvine, cardiologist Dr.John Longhurst, M.D., has teamed up with Peng Li, a prominent doctor of acupuncture and Oriental medicine, to study the effects of acupuncture on the cardiovascular system.
