In January 2007, Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine (La Jolla, Calif.) held its 4th Annual Conference, Natural Supplements: An Evidence-Based Update. During the three-day conference, attendees were surveyed about attitudes to dietary supplements. A total of 138 respondents completed the written survey, including 120 mainstream practitioners (74% physicians, 10% nurses, 10% dietitians and 6% pharmacists).
