Fish oil sales grew rapidly in 2006 and in the first half of 2007, with increasing acceptance by North American consumers and healthcare professionals, burgeoning demand for microencapsulated fish oils as an ingredient for functional foods, and more differentiation by manufacturers for specific health conditions and lifestyle issues.
