10 products ditching genetically modified ingredients

Manufacturers continue to enroll in the Non-GMO Project as increasingly consumers and retailers look for GMO-free products. Here are 10 new foods, beverages and supplements to obtain certification.

These products may not have labels proclaiming their GMO-free status, but they're among the latest batch of foods, beverage and supplements to receive a green light from the Non-GMO Project to carry the nonprofit's Non-GMO Project Verified label. Sales in the combined natural and conventional retail channels rose a stunning 25.3 percent (more than organic, Whole Grain Council-certified and Fair Trade USA-certified) in 2010 for Non-GMO Project-Verified products, according to Schaumburg, Ill.-based market research firm SPINS.

Here's a list of 10 products new to the movement.
