The gut gets the attention it deserves at Expo West

I have been obsessed with the gut and all things digestive system-related since 2012 when I launched A Gutsy Girl. For several years now, I have been focused on women with IBS and/or IBD, as my journey through life has dealt me the cards living with both (SIBO and colitis).

And now, finally, the gut is starting to get the attention it deserves! This is because there are thousands of people who are being diagnosed with IBS and IBD, and the demand for gut knowledge and products has exponentially increased.

In addition to "good-for-the-gut" products like probiotic-infused everything, companies are tinkering with formulas to produce products that go along with many gut-healing protocols like paleo, autoimmune paleo (AIP), FODMAP-friendly and more.

While at Natural Products Expo West 2017, I kept my eyes focused on these products. Here was my greatest takeaway: The categories are exploding, but yet there is still so much room for growth and opportunity for both newcomers and for products to step up the level of quality even more.

And with that, here are two lists of products I put together that fall into either paleo and/or gut-promoting product categories.
