It's not just bright colors and cool typeface. Designing food packaging is a lot more involved—and the stakes are pretty high. Not only must packaging preserve and contain a food, but also it must convey company values, ethics and practices. Plus, it's a main reason why consumers buy products in the first place—remember that snap decisions are made when perusing aisles.
