Gowsala Sivam of Bastyr University is hosting a Dietary Supplements Workshop and Seminar.
The hands-on lab workshop will last two days and will address DNA based authentication of DS ingredients and instrumental, as well as coulometric/LC analysis of DS compounds and determining antioxidant potential.
To maximize time in the lab, the Dietary Supplement talks have been seperated from the lab portion. The lab portion will be held June 15 and June 16, 2009, at Bastyr University in Kenmore. On June 18, 2009, the interactive DS Seminar will be held at the Tacoma AOAC meeting - This part will include talks on new GMPs and QA/QC issues, analysis, and will also include poster presentations and a technical expo for related products.
Combined registration for both events is $570 or $500 for lab only.
Online registration by check or money order is available at http://www.aoacpacnw.com/index.htm on the Workshops page.
Those interested are encouraged to register early, as lab space is limited (registration will end late May or when lab space filled.) There will also be a botanical-oriented banquet talk at the Tacoma meeting http://www.aoacpacnw.com/banquet_speaker.html
