Eurofins responds to FDA cGMP Final Rule and offers cGMP compliance testing and consulting packages

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recently issued the final rule establishing regulations to
require current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs) for dietary supplements. The final rule will
require that proper controls are in place for dietary supplements so that they are processed in a
consistent manner, and meet quality standards. The cGMPs apply to all domestic and foreign
companies that manufacture, package, label or hold dietary supplements, including those involved
with the activities of testing, quality control, packaging and labeling, and distributing them in the
U.S. The rule establishes cGMPs for industry-wide use that are necessary to require that dietary
supplements are manufactured consistently as to identity, purity, strength, and composition.

Eurofins Scientific is a world leader in method applications for vitamins and dietary supplements
including the analysis of botanical, herbal, phyto-chemical, sports nutrition products and is now
offering a cGMP compliance package that combines analytical testing with regulatory consulting.

The global life sciences leader recognizes the industry’s need for full service solutions that cover
key elements such as vendor assurance, product verification, traceability, adverse event
management, and documentation. Over the years, Eurofins has gained a reputation for excellence
in the establishment of control programs for Non GMO, Identity Preservation, and food safety
standards such as BRC and IFS. It has extended its consulting portfolio to serve the dietary
supplement industry through services such as cGMP regulatory consulting, labeling advice, SOP

As part of its continuing commitment to assisting stakeholders in the dietary supplement industry,
Eurofins Scientific is hosting a web seminar to educate industry members on the real world
implications of the new final rule and to offer practical solutions aimed at cGMP compliance. This
event is the first installment in a series of complimentary webinars that Eurofins is launching to
