OmniActive Health Technologies will introduce its What’s Your B.L.U.E.? (Blue Light User Exposure) campaign to the European Union at Vitafoods Europe next week.

What’s Your B.L.U.E.? is an exciting new initiative to educate consumers on high-energy blue light, its sources and ways to help protect healthy vision from its effects with the support of the macular carotenoids, lutein and zeaxanthin isomers (RR-zeaxanthin and RS [meso]-zeaxanthin).

Lynda Doyle, vice president of global marketing at OmniActive, will present "The Critical Role of Macular Carotenoids in the Age of Increasing High-Energy Blue Light Exposure" on Wednesday, May 11 at the Exhibitor Presentation Theatre.

Attendees will learn about the latest research surrounding lutein and zeaxanthin isomers and the highlights of a recent study on a comprehensive formulation that is shown to rapidly increase macular pigment.

"High-energy blue light exposure is an immediate and growing concern with long-term implications for visual health, and OmniActive has taken a leading position to address this concern," Doyle said. "Lutein and zeaxanthin isomers play critical roles in supporting visual health by protecting against the damaging effects of high-energy blue light."

OmniActive Health Technologies also is sponsoring “The Beauty of Healthy Skin with Lutein and Zeaxanthin Isomers," presented by skin-health expert Alain Khaiat, Ph.D., on May 10.

Company representatives also will provide exclusive, one-on-one presentations on Lutemax 2020 lutein with enhanced levels of zeaxanthin isomers, Lutemax Free Lutein and Lutein Esters; OmniXan RR-zeaxanthin; Capsimax Capsicum Extract, CurcuWIN Curcumin with enhanced absorption; and Gingever high potency ginger.
