Douglas Laboratories® Introduces Infaskin Probiotic™

Douglas Laboratories® is proud to offer InfaSkin Probiotic™ a unique dietary supplement utilizing the specially designed multi-species probiotic known as Ecologic® PANDA. Ecologic® PANDA has been designed for the health and well-being of mothers and their babies. It not only supports gastrointestinal health and immune health, but when used appropriately, may also significantly contribute to skin health in infants.

Infaskin Probiotic™ utilizes Bifidobacterium Bifidum, Bifidobacterium lactis and Lactococcus lactis to reduce skin sensitivity and maintain a healthy balance of cytokines produced by Th1 and Th2 cells. Supplementation with Ecologic® PANDA has been shown to assist in establishing healthy T-cell balance to support normal skin in infants.†

In fact, in a large, double-blind, placebo-controlled study, Ecologic® PANDA was administered to women during their last 6 weeks of pregnancy and post-natally for 12 months to their offspring. Infants receiving Ecologic® PANDA experienced significantly less skin sensitivity at 3 months (a 58% reduction) when compared to those in the placebo group.
