Research science manager at Ocean Spray
Ocean Spray appointed Christina Khoo, PhD, as manager of research sciences. Dr Khoo, former principle scientist at Ocean Spray, will drive research into the health benefits of various Ocean Spray ingredients, including cranberries, sweetened dried cranberries and BerryFusions Fruits. Dr Khoo studied nutritional biochemistry at the University of Pennsylvania as an undergraduate. She received her PhD from the University of Florida, and most recently attended Harvard School of Public Health for post-doctoral research.



ONC names chief sales officer
Ocean Nutrition Canada (ONC) named Jon Getzinger chief sales and marketing officer. Getzinger joins the ONC team after two years at RTI, a food-service company in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he held the position of vice president, sales and marketing. Prior to that Getzinger held senior positions at Cargill and Monsanto/NutraSweet.


Sales VP selected at Soyatech
Mark Dineen has joined Soyatech as vice president of sales and marketing. Previously, he was managing director of WCD Expo, where he oversaw all aspects of the business including marketing, operations, sales and relationship building with key stakeholders. Soyatech is a global media, marketing and event platform for the food, oilseed and agribusiness industries.

Eastern sales rep joins Embria
Naz Kalantari is the newest addition to the Embria Health Sciences sales team. In her position of regional sales representative, Kalantari will be responsible for cultivating and managing customer relationships throughout the eastern US. Kalantari has more than a decade of sales experience within the nutrition and personal-care industries. Most recently, she held senior sales positions with nutritional-ingredient suppliers Harten and Chart corporations.


Vice chair at Mannatech
Mannatech — a leading developer and provider of dietary supplements, weight-management products and skin-care solutions — recently hired Robert Sinnott, MNS, PhD, to serve as vice chair of its Senior Scientific Advisory Council (SSAC) for the Council of Responsible Nutrition (CRN). The SSAC is made up of the highest-ranking scientific officers of each of the member companies that advise the CRN staff and board of directors on all major scientific issues. Sinnott was appointed for his extensive experience with evidence-based nutrition issues, and for his ability to bridge the gap between the scientific and business communities in the health and wellness industry.

New sales associates
FutureCeuticals, a developer of innovative, science-supported ingredients for the natural-foods industry, added Patrick Lenehan, Mark Stagg and Ryan Wories to its sales department at the Illinois-based corporate office. They will support the growing initiatives of the existing sales team.
