Amin Talati hires Illinois ass't attorney general

As an assistant attorney general, Alikhan oversaw more than 50 federal cases pertaining to allegations of constitutional and related violations.

Saira Alikhan, former Illinois assistant attorney general, has joined Chicago-based Amin Talati LLC, a full-service FDA, FTC, patent, trademark, licensing and litigation firm. Alikhan will be a key player on the firm’s litigation team.

As an assistant attorney general, Alikhan oversaw a steady caseload of over 50 federal cases pertaining to allegations of constitutional and related violations. Alikhan is a seasoned litigator who honed her skills defending the City of Chicago and Fortune 500 companies at the Chicago law firm of Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP, now SNR Denton. Her expertise extends to personal injury law, employment law, labor law, and civil rights defense. Alikhan has also handled over 30 administrative hearings, and has been lead attorney in several successful federal jury trials.

Alikhan holds a J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law with a certificate in trial advocacy.  Her B.A. is in political science and speech communications from University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.
