ABBOTT PARK, Ill., Dec 15, 2003-- Abbott Laboratories (NYSE: ABT) today announced that Gary E. McCullough has been named senior vice president, Ross Products, succeeding Gary L. Flynn who will retire early in 2004 after 32 years of service, following a short transition period. The appointment is effective immediately, with McCullough reporting to Richard A. "Gary Flynn's rare combination of financial expertise and creative business thinking have enabled him to make outstanding contributions in both financial and commercial organizations during his more than 30 years at Abbott. Most recently, as president of Ross, he led the successful initiation of a consumer-focused approach to our nutritional business," said Miles D.
