Eric Schnell and Debbie Wildrick, founders of natural products consultancy MetaBrand, point out the different factors that can (and should) influence type of packaging you choose for your new beverage product: glass, aluminum, or plastic.

"A lot of our new, younger clients [don't] understand the cost that goes into the packaging they want," says Eric. "Some may say 'hey, I want to go into aluminum,' but then not realize that aluminum is generally a very high minimum production run for pre-printed cans ... Getting into something more like glass, which is usually stock or a smaller minimum run, could be an easier barrier to entry for a young brand to at least get a proof of concept out."
