Accounting is the language of business, says Back to the Roots financial analyst Ed Rainey, so get someone on your team who can speak it. While you may not need a CFO right away, a good understanding of accounting, cash flow and corporate finance are necessary to get your natural products business off the ground. Once your product picks up velocity and the receivables and payables start to stack up, consider hiring a finance person or advisory group to manage your money.
