EAS welcomes two additional advisers for Asia office

International food, health and nutrition policy consultancy EAS has appointed two more advisers to its rapidly growing Asia office in Singapore.

Grace Lee and Jie Hu joined the consultancy this month and will provide regional and international guidance to companies and governments on food and nutrition regulation both within the Asian region and between Asia and Europe.

Ms Lee has a background in European regulation, research and communication in the area of nutritional products, coming from health and nutrition company Pleon Kohtes Klewes. Ms Hiu holds business experience both in Europe and China, and joins EAS from McKinsey & Company Inc.

Their appointments follow that of Dr Daniel Tsi, who joined EAS in January, taking up the position of Regional Director at the consultancy’s office in Singapore.

EAS Director Simon Pettman said: “There is a strong desire for a wider exchange of information on developments in the European and Asian health and nutrition market. Grace and Jie will use their experience in both Asia and Europe to advice companies and governments on future policy direction.”

EAS set up office in Singapore last year in response to growing interest from both government and industry to understand the different national, regional and international regulations and their future direction.

EAS provides strategic consulting advice on European, Asian and international regulation on food and nutritional products. It provides companies with regulatory and strategic advice for the marketing and approval of their products in Europe and Asia. EAS also advises governments, trade associations and companies on the impact of European, Asian and global policy.

EAS has offices in Brussels, Italy and Singapore. EAS-Italy is a branch of EAS located in northern Italy to follow EFSA developments in Parma closely.
