HFL Sport Science (owned by Quotient Bioresearch Ltd), the world class doping control and sport science laboratory based in Cambridgeshire in the UK, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission’s drug testing program to run for at least 2 years from January 2011.
HFL Ltd. in the United Kingdom is well established as a leading laboratory within the world of medication and doping control and is increasing its testing services within the broad field of sport science. The award of the Kentucky contract provides a unique opportunity to establish a link between doping control activity in the UK and USA, sharing research and testing knowledge.
HFL Sport Science, Inc. has been incorporated, and will establish an ISO-accredited laboratory within the Lexington area of Kentucky. This will provide a platform for extending its doping control activity within racing in the USA, and also to undertake the analysis of sport supplements for banned substances. HFL’s Informed-Choice program (www.informed-choice.org) for supplement testing is well established in the USA and the creation of this new facility will bolster its activity within the supplements sector.
The laboratory will be equipped with state of the art mass spectrometry technology and will be led by a Laboratory Director with expertise and experience within doping control in the USA.
