Jusuru International partners with Vitamin Angels

Company joins efforts with the nonprofit to announce an ongoing donation program to help provide lifesaving vitamins to children in need.

Jusuru International’s annual Rise to Enterprise convention at the Hyatt Regency Orange County, the company announced a new partnership with Vitamin Angels that will formalize Jusuru’s commitment as a socially responsible enterprise.

Previously, the forward-looking nutraceutical company has honored its chartered commitment to give back by donating proceeds and manpower to nonprofits and critical causes. They have rehabilitated orphanages in Dominican Republic and schools in Jamaica, contributed to international relief efforts in Haiti and the Philippines, and donated to a local drug rehabilitation center, for example.

This announcement of Jusuru’s partnership with Vitamin Angels marks a new, official and systematic means by which Jusuru’s customers and distributors can consistently give back to thousands upon thousands of needy children and mothers. In 2014, Vitamin Angels is working to reach 40 million children in approximately 45 countries, including the U.S., with the vital nutrients they need as a foundation for good health. In the shopping cart at Jusuru’s website, buyers will have the ability to choose to donate $1, $5 or $10 as they check out. Every $10 donation provides life-saving vitamins to 40 children for an entire year. Jusuru will match the tax-deductible donations.

Howard Schiffer, president and founder of Vitamin Angels said, “We are grateful for Jusuru’s support in raising awareness for our cause and offering their customers the opportunity to contribute. Through our partnership we will make a real difference in the lives of at-risk children and moms worldwide.”

According to Vitamin Angels, about 45 percent of all child deaths worldwide are attributable to undernutrition; that is 3.1 million innocent lives lost annually. Millions more will never reach their full physical or mental potential. Many of these children can be saved and their lives dramatically improved through access to supplementation. For just a quarter, Vitamin Angels can provide a young child with all the vitamin A he or she needs for an entire year.

Vitamin Angels is a highly reputable charitable organization that helps pregnant women, new mothers, and children under 5 gain access to essential vitamins and minerals. Over 90 percent of donations to their charity go directly to their cause. Vitamin Angels has received seven consecutive four-star ratings from Charity Navigator for Financial Health, Accountability and Transparency.

“We are so honored to be working together with Vitamin Angels. They do such great work and have a sterling reputation. We want to know that our contributions and our distributors’ contributions are going to the people who really need the help,” says Asma Ishaq, president of Jusuru International. “Plus, Vitamin Angels has such a broad reach, that they will be invaluable in helping us identify the organizations that truly need our volunteer effort and donations as we take our distributors on our yearly Jusuru Getaway incentive trip. We look forward to giving back at every chance, and this relationship helps us formalize a process by which we can help save many lives of those that suffer from malnutrition.”
