KitoZyme finalizes major capital increase

Financial boost of 9 million euros will significantly build the company’s equity and allow it to actively continue developing new products.

KitoZyme, an innovative company active in the biochemistry sector and a leader in its market segment, has announced the recent finalization of a capital increase for a total amount of 9 million euros.

The issue of new shares was reserved for and entirely underwritten by the company’s two main shareholders: the company Valois (Mestdagh Group and Montulet family) and the SRIW, the Wallonia Regional Investment Company.

This capital increase will significantly build the company’s equity and will allow it to actively continue developing new products and its international commercial expansion.

KitoZyme, a spin-off of the ULg based in Liège, is active in the sectors of biochemistry and life sciences, The company is a pioneer in the manufacturing of biomass-derived biopolymers, non-animal chitosan, chitin-glucan and beta-glucan. KitoZyme focuses on the production and distribution of these advanced biopolymers which are exclusively produced using vegetable, renewable and non-GMO sources. KitoZyme products are currently used in the food, cosmetics and medical fields.
