Nordic Naturals debuts Nordic CoQ10 Ubiquinol

Nordic Naturals, the leading manufacturer of omega-3 supplements, introduces Nordic CoQ10 Ubiquinol™, providing 100 mg of coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) ubiquinol in each soft gel. Shown to support cardiovascular health and the transformation of food into energy, ubiquinol is the active antioxidant form of CoQ10, a fat-soluble molecule found in nearly every cell, tissue and organ in the body.

“While it is not an essential fatty acid, CoQ10 is similar to omega-3 essential fatty acids in that it affects health on the cellular level,” said Keri Marshall, MS, ND, Nordic Naturals’ chief medical officer. “Ubiquinol is the active form of CoQ10 and is more bioavailable than conventional CoQ10 supplements, which must be converted to ubiquinol in order to be utilized by the body. Because the body’s ability to convert CoQ10 into the ubiquinol form diminishes with age, Nordic CoQ10 Ubiquinol is ideal for anyone over the age of 40 looking for extra antioxidant support.”

Nordic CoQ10 Ubiquinol is the company’s newest release in that category, joining Ultimate Omega+CoQ10® and Omega LDL™. It is available in 60 count, unflavored soft gels that contain ubiquinol in organic extra virgin olive oil. The product does not contain gluten, milk derivatives, or artificial flavors.
