Olive Lifesciences gets research grant from Indian gov't

Coconut Development Board (CDB), Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India approved the project of Olive Lifesciences for establishing a value addition to coconut milk as functional dietary and food ingredient.

The grant will provide funding for the company to establish preclinical and clinical proof of efficacy of coconut milk for nutraceutical and functional food applications, said Dr. Shiv, vice president of Olive Lifesciences and principal investigator of the approved project.    

"We are pleased to expand our partnership with CDB in developing coconut based functional food ingredient and this collaboration will enable us to advance our promising technology platform," said Mr. Anzar, managing director of Olive Lifesciences. Research & Development center at Olive Lifesciences    focuses on developing standardized botanical extracts for dietary supplement and food and beverage industry. R&D center is recognized by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
