PerkinElmer joins UNPA

UNPA welcomes PerkinElmer as its newest Science & Technology Services member.

The United Natural Products Alliance (UNPA), an international association of forward-looking companies dedicated to providing consumers with natural health products of superior quality, benefit and reliability, is pleased to announce the membership of PerkinElmer Inc., a global leader focused on the health and safety of people and the environment, as its newest Science & Technology Services member.

Headquartered in Waltham, Mass., PerkinElmer provides its customers with detection, imaging, informatics and service capabilities that provide meaningful insights and information related to the environment. Its detection instruments and solutions help scientists, clinicians and governments analyze air, water and food products to reduce the risk of contaminants and determine potential environmental threats. The company reported 2013 revenues of $2.2 billion, employs about 7,600 people and operates in more than 150 countries.

“PerkinElmer is excited to be associated with UNPA, which has a wealth of knowledge and experience in natural and organic products among its membership,” said Otto Rose, director, West Sales Region, Environmental Health for PerkinElmer. “We look forward to sharing our insights, collaborating with professionals and building upon our knowledge within this important industry.”

“PerkinElmer is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of analytical instruments and detection solutions, and its products can be found in the quality assurance labs of almost all of the leading dietary supplement companies around the world,” said Loren Israelsen, UNPA president. “UNPA supports the company’s robust educational programs and believes that PerkinElmer’s membership will greatly expand the detection and testing resources available to our members and to the industry.”
