Pharmachem Bolsters Quality Control Testing for Phase 2®

Kearny, N.J. (May 8, 2007) – Pharmachem Laboratories, Inc., announced today that
its standard operating procedure for sampling consumer retail products has helped them to
successfully identify several domestic and international companies that have under-formulated
Phase 2® consumer products.

As a result, Atlas Bioscience, Inc., a full-service independent bioanalytical company
located in Tucson, AZ, has been hired to support Pharmachem's internal quality control program.
In addition, according to Mitch Skop, director of new product development, “We are
working with the violating companies, either directly or through counsel, to make sure that they
come into compliance with the license and label claims.”

“We have also implemented a 100 kg. minimum purchase for Phase 2 Starch
Neutralizer®, and will only sell the ingredient to companies who have signed marketing
licenses,” added Skop.

Skop reiterated that every retail product, domestically and internationally, will
eventually be tested to insure it meets Pharmachem's standards.

“Retailers and consumers need to know the products they purchase contain adequate
quantities of Phase 2® that has undergone clinical studies and is the first weight control
ingredient to earn two FDA-accepted claims,” said Skop. “This rigorous program is the best way
for us to build trust in our brand.”
