Polyphenolics to unveil new functional beverage SSW

Ingredient developer and supplier will also celebrate the many synergistic relationships it has built over the years during its first-ever customer appreciation event.

Polyphenolics is on a mission to educate manufacturers and marketers about consumers’ condition specific needs, and how they can collaborate to meet those needs. During this year’s SupplySide West, the award-winning ingredient developer and supplier will honor and celebrate the many synergistic relationships it has built over the years during its first-ever customer appreciation event. SupplySide West will be held Oct. 8 and 9 at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

“I am always ready to communicate with customers, usually by providing key information that they can use for their competitive advantage,” commented Polyphenolics President Anil Shrikhande, Ph.D. “Customer satisfaction in all aspects of our business is important to us. At Polyphenolics, we provide exceptional technical support, meet shipping deadlines and consistently provide product and service quality.”

Upscale event planned
Polyphenolics has chosen this year’s SupplySide West as its venue to show its sincere gratitude to its many customer partners. During the event scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 2 to 4 p.m. in booth #33143, guests will sample from gourmet cheese trays, and enjoy world-renowned Robert Mondavi wines.

As guests mingle, they’ll also be invited to spin the wheel to win prizes and product giveaways. Two lucky event attendees will win the drawings for Robert Mondavi Winery, Napa Valley gift certificates, each valid for a winery tour and tasting for two people. For more information about Polyphenolics’ customer appreciation event and to RSVP, please go to polyphenolics.com/register. Customers who pre-register will get an extra entry into the drawing to win the Robert Mondavi Winery gift certificates.

Honoring time-tested collaborations and new synergistic opportunities
Shrikhande notes that Polyphenolics has built many long-term relationships with customers over the years. He cites trust, approachability and dependability as guiding factors. “They are just as important as quality, safety and top-notch science when choosing a company to work with long-term to create successful products.”

Among the most established relationships is the one between Polyphenolics and GNC. During a 2013 SupplySide West presentation, GNC’s Chief Innovation Officer Guru Ramanathan, Ph.D. acknowledged the collaboration. He described the development of products containing MegaNatural-BP, including how GNC worked with Polyphenolics on the types of clinical study models and the range of product applications that would be relevant to GNC’s customers. As a result, MegaNatural grape seed extracts are included in the formulations of many GNC products, from GNC’s Preventive Nutrition line, which addresses blood pressure maintenance, to their Mega Women and Mega Men Heart and Sports Vitapak Programs.

A newer relationship involves Brad Miller of Maven Management. Miller approached Shrikhande with an idea for a functional beverage made with multiple Polyphenolics products: MegaNatural-BP, considered to be the only grape seed extract that supports blood pressure within the normal range, and MegaNatural-Red Wine Grape Extract with trans-Resveratrol, which provides approximately 50 to 60 times more trans -Resveratrol in its active form than one glass of red wine. Polyphenolics offered guidance and support during all stages of the product’s development. The resulting beverage, Health Transformance, will be introduced and available for tasting at Polyphenolics’ booth at SupplySide West.

Polyphenolics is receptive to helping others with their ideas for incorporating its branded ingredients in functional foods, beverages and supplements.
