NBJ believes P&G will bring big retail category management to some chain natural retailers to improve performance at the shelf, but what about all the “mom & pop” natural retailers out there? What happens to them? And what of the traditionally lower risk profile of large pharmaceutical and CPG firms compared to higher tolerances at natural products industry firms. This will certainly be an issue, but if P&G is smart…and they certainly are…one can only expect smart moves from the historic leader of consumer good branding and marketing.
