If you’re anything like most retailers, you know why you should be on Facebook and Twitter. But you may not know how to implement a strategy. Having a honed strategy certainly will benefit your sales and brand, but where should you start?

In today’s session, “Social Media Trends & Tools: For Sales and Branding” (8 a.m., Room 251, Natural Products Expo East 2010, Boston Convention and Exhibition Center), three experts in the field will give you the tools you need to work out an effective strategy.

Heather Smith, founder and social media and branding strategist for Eco Luxe , and public relations manager at New Hope Natural Media, will explain how her experience can help you expand your brand socially.

Mikal Belicove, an Entrepreneur magazine columnist, specializes in market analysis and content development. Belicove will make the case for social engagement and offer the type of results brands can expect if they have a well-planned business-aligned communication strategy.

Finally, Mo-Gyung Rhim, senior relationship manager at Google, will cover how the largest website company in the world implements social strategies.

If time allows, Belicove also will unwrap a social media initiative from one natural products industry company.

Chances are, if you’re in need of a social-media strategy, this presentation will get you on the right track to building one.
