Gelatin and collagen peptide manufacturer Nitta Gelatin has hired Erika Tchang as the business development manager for its Wellnex™ collagen peptides product line. Tchang’s role is focused on developing the North American and European markets for collagen peptides.

“Nitta Gelatin played an integral role in bringing products containing collagen peptides into the Japanese market and served as a pioneer in the skin health and ‘beauty from within’ arenas as well as developing functional food and joint health expertise. With a new collagen peptide manufacturing facility opening in 2014 in North Carolina and Nitta’s science- and clinical research-backed approach, I’m excited to bring our products and expertise to North America and Europe,” said Tchang.

Prior to joining Nitta Gelatin, Tchang most recently served as a consultant for dietary supplement and food ingredient manufacturers. Tchang also brings extensive experience in nutricosmetic and nutritional ingredients from past marketing and sales roles for a North American ingredient distributor.
