Top Expo East retailer to-dos

Expand your retailing knowledge. Spend Wednesday afternoon diving into the details of digital, competitive and customer strategies you can adopt right away. The Retailer Workshop runs from 2 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, in rooms 314 and 315 at the Baltimore Convention Center.  Cost is $125; NPA-East members: $95

See natural retail in action. Check out some of Maryland’s best natural products stores during the Retail Store Tour. This three-store tour features a leader in local and food service. Meet in the Charles Street Lobby by 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, to catch the guided bus tour that returns at about 3:30 p.m. Cost is $75, lunch included.

Understand the supermarket wellness revolution. Supermarket News will explore consumer perspectives, the future of retail and brand-growth opportunities during a half-day workshop from 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, in room 322 at the convention center.

Network and find new products. The special Harvest Festival tabletop show features an array of organic and natural products in a festival-style atmosphere. This innovative outdoor event combines the lively appeal of a traditional farmers’ market, with the business-building power of an industry trade show. Join the fun from 2 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17, on the Level 300 Outside Terrace.

Celebrate with friends and business colleagues. Kick off the show with The Pimps of Joytime’s funk at the Thursday Evening Celebration. The celebration pumps up the Hilton Lawn (outside of the Diamond Tavern) from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18.

Fuel your Friday. Get nourished before hitting the show floor during the Boulder Brands Breakfast from 7:30 to 9 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, on the Level 300 terrace.

Network with inspiring women (and men). The Women in Naturals networking event will feature Chef Ann Cooper, a lead “lunch lady” in the better-food-for-all children movement. The gathering takes place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, on the Level 300 terrace.

Rock with winning retailers and the whole natural products industry. The Friday Evening Celebration this year combines the well-loved concert party and the inaugural Retailer of the Year awards from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, on the Hilton Lawn (outside of Diamond Tavern). The band is See-I, with members of Thievery Corporation.
