Botanical conference to host global herb elite

The eighth annual Oxford International Conference on the Science of Botanicals will be held April 6-9, 2009, at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Miss. The conference is co-sponsored by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and attended by leading officials from China, India and Europe.

"The conference is unique because it really gives a global picture of what's going on with botanicals, in terms of science, quality and related matters," said Loren Israelsen, president of industry consulting firm LDI group, based in Salt Lake City. "In addition to the normal scientific exchange, you really get the zeitgeist of what's going on on a political and regulatory level."

More information on the conference can be found at www.OxfordICSB.org.
