Cash in with the Order Awards

Writing orders at this year?s Natural Products Expo West won?t just keep you and your store on top of the latest natural products trends. Thanks to the Retailer Order Award Program, doing business with exhibitors will also put you in the running to win cash and travel prizes.

?We started the program at last year?s Expo West as a way to create incentive for independent and chain stores to come to the show and conduct business,? says Expo West Registration Coordinator Brian Rubin. ?We received a lot of good coverage, and we did it again for Expo East. So this year, we?re expecting even more participants.?

Rubin added that the program also acts as an incentive for exhibitors to offer show specials to help increase the orders placed with them at the show.

Winner categories include: Dollar Volume—one winner from an independent location and one winner from a chain location; and Vendor Quantity (number of vendors that orders are placed with)—one winner from an independent and one winner from a chain location. Stores will win $1,000, and buyers will win airline vouchers. In addition, Expo West will foot the bill for winners? airfare to Expo East in Washington, D.C., Sept. 15 to 18.

Buyers can pick up entry forms at registration, in the show management office or at any information booth. Tally your orders through the course of the show and register to win in the Store of the Future, which is located in Hall A on the show floor. Confirmed orders need to be brought to the Store of the Future before 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 20. Winners will be announced Sunday at 3 p.m.

Even buyers from smaller stores have a shot at the prizes. ?Because of the two categories, any size location has a great chance of winning,? Rubin says.
