More than new products at Expo East

You go to a trade show to see new products, right? Well, this year Natural Products Expo East, to be held Sept. 21 to 24 in Baltimore, will offer plenty for retailers to discover, including:

  • More than 1,300 exhibiting companies

  • The latest innovations on display in the New Products Pavilion

  • Product Showcases offering a snapshot of what’s on the show floor 

  • New Product Showcase Awards that give you a voice in selecting the best new-to-market products

But if you need a break from browsing the floor, I hope you take some time off your feet at one of our informative education sessions. Most of the programs are included with show-floor registration, and some are offered for a nominal fee.

Learn how to grow your bottom line with topics ranging from how to staff your store efficiently to when to speak to customers about organic, genetically modified organisms and artificial colors. And don’t miss the keynote speech on Friday, Sept. 23 from 9 to 10 a.m. in room 309 of the Baltimore Convention Center. Daniel Pink, author of bestselling books about the changing workplace, will discuss how managers can inspire and motivate staff. Pink’s latest book, Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us (Riverhead, 2011), uses 50 years of behavioral science to overturn the conventional wisdom about human motivation, and offers a more effective path to high performance.
