Natural Grocers adds second Idaho location

Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage® (NYSE: NGVC) is announcing the grand opening of a second store in Idaho, which will be located at 1270 E. 17th St. in Idaho Falls. The store opens for business on Tuesday, Nov. 12.

"We invite the Idaho Falls community to come in see what we're about," said Kemper Isely, Natural Grocers co-president. "While they are here, shoppers can also take part in a free nutritional education seminar or pick up some practical ideas for healthy eating during one of our free cooking demonstrations."

Natural Grocers, based in Colorado, offers free nutritional health coaching to its customers--including individualized nutrition sessions, meal planning, and other guidance about nutrition and health. Every Natural Grocers supports a full-time credentialed Nutritional Health Coach (SM) and all staff are trained to help shoppers find products and resources to support their individual needs. Idaho Falls Natural Grocers will offer its first free cooking class in its dedicated demonstration kitchen and events facility on Thursday, Nov. 14. Nationally recognized nutrition expert Cary Tamburro, BS, will show how to make "Smoothies to Jump Start Your Health."  Tamburro will demonstrate organic, gluten-free and dairy-free options.

Natural Grocers offers only carefully approved natural and organic groceries on its shelves, and only sells USDA certified organic produce. Meats are sourced from animals raised naturally without the use of antibiotics or hormones. The affordable grocery chain also offers an extensive natural dietary supplement and body care department. Stores offer a large selection of gluten-free and other products for special diets, with an emphasis on local products.

Natural Grocers is equally well known for what it does not sell: the store does not carry any foods that contain artificial ingredients such as colors, sweeteners, flavors, preservatives, hydrogenated oils, or produce grown with synthetic pesticides, or meats with antibiotics or hormones. Idaho Falls Natural Grocers will be open Monday through Saturday from 8:56 a.m. to 8:04 pm. On Sunday the store will be open from 9:56 a.m. to 7:06 p.m. Come a little early, come a little late, customers are welcome inside.
